How do I care for my hand made ceramics?
Flip Flop Slip pieces are microwave, oven, dishwasher and food safe. Made from a heat shock resistant clay the range can also be used for baking. We recommend using a liquid or gel detergent in the dishwasher to avoid dulling or clouding the glaze over time that can happen when using powder detergent.
When loading a dishwasher or stacking pieces in a drying rack take care that the pieces are not touching one another to avoid any knocks to the edges.
Due to the variation in shape and size we recommend storing the pieces stacked no higher than six.
The Flip Flop Slip range features a smooth glazed top surface and unglazed, textured underside. When placing pieces on top of other items such a furniture please take care to avoid scratching the other items.
Please keep in mind that all pieces are handmade and should be handled with reasonable care. Ceramics are fragile and breakages can occur if dropped, knocked or treated roughly.
What if the piece I like is out of stock?
We update our online stock regularly so if an item you are looking for is 'Sold Out' please check back soon. For our Flip Flop Slip range of ceramics you can also get in touch with us via email firstname.lastname@example.org to place a special order with us and we can make them for you. One off items are unique and once sold may not be made again.
What is your turnaround time on special orders?
Our turnaround time varies depending on what we are currently making in the studio. If you would like to order something that is out of stock we can usually have it ready for delivery within 4 weeks. If you would like to place a custom order it may take a little longer as it will be unique and made especially for you. Is each ceramic piece exactly the same?
Our ceramics are made by hand in small batches at our Sydney studio. Size, colour and finish will vary slightly from piece to piece. These qualities are intentional and reflect the genuine handmade nature of each piece. All items in our store are described as accurately as possible. Descriptions include both the images and accompanying text.
We price our work in Australian Dollars (AUD). However, pricing can be shown in your local currency using the currency selector at the top of the page.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We happily accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or regular account payments all through PayPal.
Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?
No, but if you already have one you may use it if you like.
When will I receive my order?
Items are usually shipped within 3 working days of receiving payment. All orders are shipped via Australia Post parcel post. Orders within Australia should arrive within 3 - 5 working days after shipping date. International orders should arrive within 10 - 14 days after shipping date.
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason please get in touch with us immediately. If an item is defective or damaged we will happily replace it. If we are unable to replace it we will offer you an exchange for the same value or a refund.
All ceramics are hand made and will vary slightly in size, colour and finish to those photographed. We do not issue refunds due to any of these variations. All items are described as accurately as possible.
